Peñon De San Jose

This rocky outcrop rising from the sea, is a popular seen for visitors exploring the Amador Causeway; a vibrant waterfront promenade connecting Panama City to three small islands.

As you drive along the causeway, you can catch glimpses of Peñon De San José Islet in the distance, adding a touch of natural splendor to the urban landscape.

The islet’s rocky cliffs and lush vegetation is a haven for blue feet Boobies and other seabird colonies.

Visitors can watch marine vessels as they enter the first stretch of the Panama Canal escaping briefly behind the islet if only for a short time.

This is just another of Panama’s natural wonders for all who venture to the Amador Causeway.
