Kin Kin-Noosa Hinterlands Country Charm and Local Treasures

A quick drive along a scenic route found us in the rolling hills and lush greenery of the Noosa Hinterland, Kin Kin is a small country locality that holds its own as a unique travel destination for those looking to explore the less-trodden paths of the Sunshine Coast. A blend of scenic beauty, historical charm and tranquil vibes, this picturesque village beckons travelers with its promise of a serene escape.

A Brief History:
The name Kin Kin is believed to originate from an Aboriginal word referring to a species of black ant that is native to the area. Historically, Kin Kin was a timber and dairy town, with its fertile soil also making it a prime spot for farming. Over the years, as the timber and dairy industries waned, Kin Kin transformed into a peaceful rural community with a strong sense of local culture and heritage.
